from April
2, 2008 in mathematics class when doing mental arithmetic I, Naboychenko Svetlana Alexandrovna,
used the technology of objectively diagnosable result of education worked out
by I.T. Goncharov. There were 28 students present at the lesson in 3rd "A”
class. I handed out code cards to the students
and suggested 5 variants of exercises
using the numbers from the cards: I+J+K; I+K-M; J+K-I; J·K-I·K; I·J+J·K.
The new task
aroused the students’ interest. They
copied the variants of exercises into their copybooks and after that made up
their own exercises using individual codes and solved them. The resuts exceeded
my expectations. The students managed to solve all the exercises in 10 minutes.
Thus, in 10 minutes the students solved 5 x 28 = 140
various exercises. And it wasn’t hard for me at all. If I had been employing the
traditional method, I could also have handed out 5 exercises to each student
but I would definitely have failed to check everything in 10 minutes. Another
important thing is that this task was a bit like a game to the students, so
they didn’t lose interest in it.
